It’s Summer term and we are going to be spending a lot more time outside in the fresh air. Please could we remind you to apply suncream to your child before they come to preschool. If we could ask you to also put a labelled hat in your child’s bag too. ☀️

We are so happy that all our children will be returning to school on the 8th March. We are really looking forward to seeing you all back at preschool too. The same procedures for drop off and collection will be in place. Please ensure you wear your mask while dropping off and at collection, also leave 2m between yourself and other parents. Don’t forget to bring your own labelled snack box, water bottle and a bag with spare clothes, outdoor wear, wellies and slippers.
Best wishes

Update
Dear Parents,
As you will know, the Pre school term has been closed due to staff isolating due to Covid-19. We were hoping to reopen on the 18th January, but due to the current lockdown and ongoing staff isolation, we do not foresee that we will be in a position to open on the 18th as we had hoped owing to legal staff/pupil ratios.
This is obviously hugely disappointing, and I appreciate it will be an inconvenience, but it is our priority to keep our staff and pupils safe.
We will update you as soon as we get any information that this could change.
Please contact me on my email preschoolchair@gmail.com if you have any questions or concerns.
Best wishes

Christmas Fun!
Wow what a busy week!
Pyjama party with cinema, hot chocolate and popcorn. A video call to our friend in Brazil whose Daddy played us a song on his guitar.
Christmas songs around the fire.
We made gingerbread stars.
Fun with flour!
Wreath making.
Coach Ollie with lots of football games.
Today we had party games, a disco, party food and a visit from Nikki the Elf!
If we could ask all parents to inform us if any children have any Of the covid 19 symptoms or have a positive test within 48 hours of being at preschool. Call Esther on 07759611007.
Thank you so much for the lovely presents and cards, it means so much to us to know that the children are enjoying their time with us. The children have all been fantastic during this term. Once again thanks for all your support through a challenging time and we hope you all have a safe and magical Christmas break.
All being well we should return on Monday 4th January.

Covid-19 Cases
Dear Parents
We just wanted to send a reminder that if your child has ANY of the symptoms of covid 19 or you are unsure we would ask you to err on the side of caution and not bring your child in to preschool. We need to protect members of staff, children, our families and our community.
Symptoms –
A high temperature
A new continuous cough
Loss of smell or taste
If you suspect your child or anyone in your household has the symptoms of Covid 19 you must book a test and your family should stay at home until the test results are returned. Please check the NHS website for more details and how to book a test.
We would like also like to remind parents that we are under Tier 2 restrictions which includes no mixing of households indoors unless within a support bubble.
Thank you
Issy, Becca and Esther
Fun at Preschool!
We’ve been having lots of fun at preschool!
We went for a walk around the village looking at all the different buildings. We are going to be drawing our own maps of where we live over the next couple of weeks.
We have a new kitchen at which was kindly donated. The children have been really enjoying role playing making meals for each other.
We have talked about the festival of Diwali and created candle holders to celebrate the festival of light. We had a procession in the hall listening to traditional Diwali music carrying candles (battery operated).
We had a visit from Coach Ollie who we haven’t seen for many months. The children were absolutely over the moon to see him. We are hoping to see him again once lockdown is over.
As part of a gross motor activity we had the slide on the ground, this developed into the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, which then moved to fishing and having snack on the banks of the river listening to the water flowing (using the speakers).

The Week Before Break
During the week before half term break we had parachute fun. Listening to instructions coordinating our movements and singing songs. We cared for the dolls, dressing them in their new handmade clothes. We created witches hats sticking on our favourite shapes. We also had a puppy visit and talked about how we care for puppies and opportunities to ask questions and of course have a cuddle if we wanted to. On the last morning we had a Halloween party dancing and enjoying party food.
