This week at Pre-school.

So far this week we’ve been enjoying the lovely weather and making the most of the time outside. We’ve been caring for our plants outside, painting the shed with water and practicing our catching, throwing and kicking. On Monday we set up a train station in the garden and all had a great time pretending to travel around on a train.

Upcoming dates for your diaries

6th July Consultations for Rebecca’s Key children.

12th July Sports day on The Recreation ground. 10.30am start. We will be serving refreshments after.

Monday 3rd September. INSET DAY.

Tuesday 4th September. Term starts.

Paediatric First Aid Evening

We have arranged for a First Aid trainer to do an evening paediatric First Aid course.  This will not be a certificated course but it will be great for Parents, Grandparents or anyone who is interested. We need a few more people to attend for the course to go ahead.  Please let any of the practitioners know by the end of this week if you would like to attend.

7th June, 7.30pm, at Sharpthorne Village Hall, Station Road. £20 plus a small donation for the hall hire.

Names

Please could we ask for children’s clothes, shoes and drink bottles to be labelled clearly with their names.  It would be a great help to us at home time when we are having trouble identifying which items belong to which child.

Many thanks for your help

Jane, Issy and Becca

Being mum

The children returned today after the snow forced us to close last week.

The children had the play kitchen out today. They had great fun cooking and serving food to each other. At circle time we asked some of the children to tell us what their mums do for them at home – we had some lovely responses!!

The children had a large giraffe drawing laid across the floor and they enjoyed colouring it in.

The children have began making “surprises” for their Mummy for Mother’s Day, but you must not ask them about it as it is a surprise. (We do not say it is a secret as children should not be encouraged to keep secrets from their parents).
