West Hoathly Preschool is a small, friendly Early Years setting at the heart of the local community. Catering for around 25 children between the ages of two and four years old, we offer an engaging, broad and balanced early year’s curriculum  based on the  Early Years Foundation Stage. Our ultimate aim is to provide a positive, safe learning environment for all children to grow and develop through play.  To see more of us in action please visit our Blog.

The Preschool meets at West Hoathly Village Hall on Monday to Thursday.  We offer all day sessions 8.45am until 3pm as well as morning sessions 8.45am until 12.30pm.  We follow the term dates of West Hoathly Primary School but finish a week earlier in the summer.  We ask that children provide their own packed lunch for the all day session.  Preschool provide a healthy morning snack for all of the children.  Our fees are £6 an hour.  Government funding starts from the term after their 3rd birthday.  We accept Government Free Entitlement (FE) for two year olds, Universal Free Entitlement for 3 and 4 year olds and Extended Free Entitlement subject to application and acceptance of the code, for the afternoon sessions.  This code must be reapplied every three months.

Whilst independent from them, we have close links with West Hoathly Church of England Primary School and this helps children when they move into their reception class.

We have been awarded Good by OFSTED.

  1. Hello. My son was 2 in August and I am hoping to start him 1 or 2 morning a week at preschool after Easter.
